Guam - With crime on the rise and police manpower levels on the decline with less than 300 uniformed officers, Senator Brant McCreadie has introduced legislation aimed at allowing GPD to hire a maximum of 20 new police officers for the upcoming five fiscal years. McCreadie says this is a positive first step in ensuring that the government hires the additional police officers it sorely needs to keep our residents safe. The Legislative Ethics Committee has dismissed the complaint against Senator Fernando Esteves, and says it considers the matter closed.
