Guam - Village and school sports facilities are about to get some much needed repairs and upgrades. According to Senator Tommy Morrison he and Senator Chris Duenas met with Governor Eddie Calvo earlier this week regarding the issue.
Morrison says the governor directed his cabinet to establish a special fund required by law that will provide over $1 million annually in regular funding for school and village sports facilities. The newly established funding source is derived from proceeds associated with legal limited gaming that will be split amongst the village mayors, the Department of Education and Parks & Rec.
