Guam - From Zumba to aqua fitness and body combat, dozens of GovGuam employees outfitted in their workout gear participated in the launch of the GovGuam Worksite Wellness Program held at the Northern Sports Complex this afternoon.

Hosted by the Department of Public Health and members of the Non-Communicable Disease Consortium, the program aims to get 10% of GovGuam employees to commit towards an active and healthier lifestyle for 2014.

Overall, the hope is to reduce Guam's epidemic of chronic diseases, including heart disease, stroke, cancers, and diabetes, all of which are the leading causes of death for the last few decades.
