Guam - A new Supreme Court of Guam chief justice will be named this week as justices will meet behind closed doors on Friday morning.
Chief Justice F. Philip Carbullido's three-year term expires on Tuesday February 21st when his successor will be administered the oath during a special promulgation hearing. Justices Robert Torres and Katherine Maraman will meet in Carbullido's chambers this Friday morning.
Court policy, planning and community relations director Joshua Tenorio says whoever is voted as the next chief justice will officially begin their term on Tuesday, January 21st at ten o'clock in the morning.
