Merizo students released at 12:30

Guam - The Guam Department of Education is alerting the school community of Merizo Martyr Memorial Schooll that the students will be released beginning at 12:30 PM today Friday January 10, 2014.  DOE Deputy Superintendent Rob Malay says the early release is in response to a nearby fire in which the smoke is affecting the school campus.  The Guam Fire Department has responded to the fire and is working in collaboration with GDOE at this time.The Department of Public Works will begin sending buses to transport students home.  Families with students that attend MMMS are asked to ensure there is somebody at home to receive the students when they arrive.
