Guam - Port Authority of Guam general manager Joanne Brown says progress continues to be made with the demolition of Warehouse Two following a final walk-through in October. Since demolition took place last month, about 80% of the facility has been taken down.

She told KUAM News, "Once they complete the full demolition of the actual warehouse structure, they're going to go back and do some smoothing work on the original concrete pad which we are keeping in place and certainly the primary use of that particular area now that the warehouse has been torn down is to accommodate our break-bulk cargo that comes in."

Brown says at this rate, the demolition of the physical structure of Warehouse Two should be completed in the coming weeks that will ultimately increase the Port's break bulk area to approximately nine acres as part of the Port's modernization projects.
