"Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" continues through holidays

by Krystal Paco

Guam - The Guam Police Department and the Division of Highway Safety have launched the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign in hopes of deterring drunk drivers from getting behind the wheel this holiday season. Airport Police Officer Ken Quenga said, "As far as the airport police is concerned we are not trying to deter the celebration we just want to make sure the roads are safe for the traveling public the passengers and the people that utilize the roadway."

As part of the campaign from now until the New Year, GPD officers will be out and about making their presence known to prevent the public from drinking and driving. The campaign will include check points and community outreach efforts at our island's public schools.
