Guam - The U.S. Senate has passed the National Defense Authorization Act and the Calvo Administration confirms that it includes funding for Guam's military buildup. The NDAA allows for about half a billion dollars of infrastructure projects related to the realignment of Marines from Okinawa to Guam. This construction activity will be a boost to Guam's economy.
"The buildup is back on," Governor Calvo said. "I thank Delegate Madeleine Bordallo, our friends in Congress, the Obama administration, and members of my team for continuously pushing to fund critical projects so the buildup can begin. I am so very excited!"
