Guam - First built 22 years ago, the Guam Police Department's koban in Tumon is ready to house officers once again after two months of construction and renovation. GVB general manager Karl Pangelinan told KUAM News, "This koban is really in the center the heartbeat of Tumon, which is the lifeline of our tourism district. And it really means a lot with regard to in housing GPD their foot patrol just here along the roadside and also on the beach, where a lot of our visitors frolic."
The revitalization was made possible through the generous donation of $25,000 from the Japan Travel Bureau as well as the facilitation of GVB and partnerships with various agencies such as GPD.
