Democrats' inaugural ball draws hundreds

by Ken Quintanilla

Guam - It was the who's who of the Democratic Party Wednesday night at The Hyatt as the Democratic Party of Guam held its inaugural ball drawing close to 500 people.

Incoming chairman Senator Rory Respicio says it was an inspiring evening and a celebration of unity within the party. While no special announcement was made for a gubernatorial ticket for Adelup, several prominent democrats were in attendance including former governor Carl Gutierrez, former gubernatorial candidate Dr. Robert Underwood, former U.S. Department of the Interior assistant secretary for insular area Tony Babauta and several past party chairpersons.

An official inauguration for the new party leadership and central executive committee meanwhile is set for January 25.
