Guam - The second trial in the Nimitz Hill home invasion case continued today in Superior Court Judge Maria Cenzon's courtroom. Anthony Mendiola is being tried for his alleged involvement in the home invasion and robbery.

His co-defendant, Raymond Tedtaotao, was recently convicted and is awaiting sentencing while Kyle Cruz is cooperating with authorities and will testify against Mendiola.

The government called several police officers to the stand today to testify about their response to the incident on Oceanview Drive.  The officers recalled the home being in disarray with items strewn all around.  A woman was brutally beaten and bound and left unconscious as the three allegedly fled with a purse, some clothes and two laptops.

The trial resumes on Tuesday.
