Grants awarded to enhance culture, arts on Guam

Guam - The Governor's Office has announced that local artists and schools have received $15,000 worth of grants to enhance learning and arts on Guam.

The National Endowment for the Arts granted the funds to the Department of Chamorro Affairs through the Guam Council on Arts and Humanities Agency.

Among the grant awards, Jonathan Sablan was awarded $5,000 to produce a 23-minute documentary on the bilembaotuyan. CAHA meanwhile was awarded five other grants to fund musical productions in large schools, promote arts education to young adults and create local paintings.
