Guam - Although they face significant jail time after pleading guilty to making counterfeit money, Renee Linnete Mesa and Michael Basilio Badar are being charged in superior court with possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance.  The couple was scheduled to answer to the charges today but the arraignment was continued until December 11.

Meanwhile in District Court, both recently pleaded guilty to making bogus money using a special washing and scanning method to imprint $50 images onto lower denominations.  They admitted to printing about $10,000 worth of counterfeit bills and distributing them to get real cash.  The couple was released to a third-party custodian and is scheduled for a status hearing in the District Court on March 25th.
