Guam - 29-year-old Giovanni Sgambelluri was arrested over the weekend accused of getting into a verbal and physical dispute with a woman known to him. According to court documents, police were called to a Mangilao residence as a witness reported that Sgambelluri got into a verbal dispute and allegedly broke a woman's phone and smashed it with his foot and then pinned her down on the sofa with his knees on her chest.
A witness told police that he drove off in as the victim was standing up in the bed of the truck. About an hour later police were called to a residence in Hagatna where the victim reported that she had a sprained forearm because of the physical dispute.
Sgambelluri turned himself into police and admitted getting into a verbal argument but denied getting physical. He was arrested and charged with family violence and assault.
