Guam - The USS Freedom has made its way back to our shores. The last time the ship was docked in Guam waters was in March. Now the ship and its crew are back as part of her return transit across the Pacific. Arriving on November 29th the crew will have time to rest, and relax while the litoral combat ship refuels and gets supplies for the next leg of its journey to wrap up its overseas deployment to Southeast Asia. Over the past several months Freedom has conducted an exercise with the Bangledesh navy ship BNS Somudro Joy, supported disaster relief efforts in the Philippines, participated in an international maritime defense exhibition and commenced a Pacific Ocean transit that included port visits in Hawaii, Guam and Manila.
