Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo has ordered the Department of Administration to pay out $1.6 million in promised compensation by next week. Promised compensation is pay owed to employees and former employees who were never paid for additional duties they performed or for civil service or court ordered payments. DOA is processing all the claims this week and will spend the weekend preparing the payments to 13 agencies including Guam Fire Department, Department of Corrections, Public Health, Chamorro Affairs, Rev & Tax, Guam Police Department, Bureau of statistics and Plans, Parks and Recreation, Department of Administration, Civil Service Commission, Public Works, Agriculture and Department of Youth Affairs. The payment only covers what has been claimed by agencies as of today. Employees and former employees expecting promised compensation should contact the fiscal officer within their respective agency for more information.
