Guam - Vice Speaker B.J. Cruz held an oversight hearing today hoping to get answers on the Government of Guam's state of information technology and systems integration. Cruz had raised concern over the incomplete system implementation of the Office of Technology, signed into law in April.

Acting chief technology officer Joey Manibusan spoke on appointing a permanent individual to move the mission forward, saying, "And I agree that the responsibility and authority given to the CTO is incredible, and this type of mandate that's given to the Office of Technology is going to require a broad spectrum of resources in terms of knowledge, skills and manpower."

Officials further addressed matters regarding government compliance with the Affordable Care Act's health information technology mandates and the status of GovGuam's unified telecommunications contract.
