Guam - Concerned about the protection of servicemembers, military families base personnel and patrons, spearfishing will no longer be allowed on Naval Base Guam. All forms of spearfishing along all shorelines and near shore waters on the base are prohibited effectively immediately.
According to base officials, permitted fishing techniques in designated areas only include hook-and-line fishing from shoreline or boat, and cast netting from shorelines. Fishing is permitted in outer Apra Harbor and at Clipper Cove on Naval Base Guam.
