Guam - Criminal charges against former Superior Court marshal Michelle Ungacta have been dismissed because she wasn't tried in 60 days. Ungacta was fired from her job after she was arrested for stalking, obstruction of government function, harassment, and official misconduct.
The Supreme Court of Guam determined that the trial court violated the speedy trial clock by more than a week and should have dismissed the indictment.
Whether the charges can be brought up again will be up to the trial court.
