Guam - The remainder of the year will be used to celebrate and recognize arts and humanities. A proclamation ceremony was held on Wednesday at Adelup as the Calvo Administration dedicates this time to shine the spotlight on those individuals and organizations that are helping share our island's culture and heritage through song, dance, art, and more.
During the event the Council of Arts and Humanities announced that the agency will award $160,000 in grants to 40 grantees in the arts community. Additionally First Lady Christine Calvo invited all local artists to participate in the first ever Guma' I Taotao Peace Festival at Government House beginning November 30 through January 5.
