GUAM - Following last week's round table discussion on youth services and programs that have been hit by federal funding cuts, Senator Michael San Nicolas has introduced legislation to help sustain these organizations with the help of the community.
The measure would allow GovGuam employees the option to contribute to a non-profit group through payroll deduction. A list of qualified non-profits will be registered with the Department of Revenue and Taxation and updated annually. As we reported, various youth organizations have had major cuts to revenue which they need to operate at current service levels.
