Guam - A Civilian Police Reserve recruit has been suspended from training after he was arrested on Wednesday. Raymond Ledesma was charged with solicitation and assault for allegedly asking two of his fellow recruits to follow him to beat up another man and damage his vehicle.
GPD spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia confirms that Ledesma is going through the Police Reserve Cycle. An Internal Affairs investigation is underway into his arrest and it is unclear what his status with the department will be as CVPR recruits have no Civil Service Commission rights. Balajadia says the police chief is reviewing the matter and has suspended the recruit from training at this time.
He adds any department issued items that were issued to Ledesma were taken away until the investigation is completed. Ledesma was arrested and released.
