Guam - Weigh-ins for tomorrow night's PXC 40 event was held at the P.I.C this morning. In the first fight of the night Roman Alvarez takes on Jay Taijeron. Alvarez weighed in at 134-pounds. Jay Taijeron a little heavier and had to drop some weight before making the cut.
Saipan's Josh Duenas will face Guahan Top Team's Mklane Alfred in the 125-pound division. Duenas comes in at 125 pounds even, Alfred 1 pound heavier at 126. Look for this fight to stay standing.
Chuji Kato is back, Kato fighting out of Japan steps into the cage against Guahan Top Team fighter Tyrone Jones. Kato weighed in at 155-pounds. Tyrone Jones also weighed in at 155-pounds event. Jones is coming off a win in PXC 38.
California fighter Alvin Cacdac is a veteran of the PXC making his first appearance on Guam. Cacdac will meet up with Guahan Top Team's Trevin Jones. Cacdac weighed in at 136-pounds, Jones also weighed in at 136 pounds. The winner of this fight will shoot to the top of the list for 135-pound fighters.
Takumi Nakayama out of Japan squares off against Will Chope in the 145-pound division. Nakayama is a veteran fighter looking to stay in the game with a win against his much taller opponent. Chope comes in at 145-pounds and stands well over 6 feet tall and will look to use his reach and height to his advantage.
Korean Top Team's Tae Kyun Kim makes his debut on Guam when he takes on Guahan Top Team's Kyle "Boom" Reyes. Kim comes in weighing 145-pounds, Kyle Reyes weighed in at 146-pounds. Reyes is coming off a tough decision loss in PXC 39 in the Philippines looking to get back on track tomorrow night.
The 7th fight of the night will be another women's matchup between Japan's Mei Yamaguchi and Patricia Vidonic. Both fighters weighed in at 115 pounds even. Both ladies have over 4 years experience under their belts and say that fans won't be disappointed come fight night.
In the last fight of the night Bantamweight champion Michinori Tanaka out of Japan makes his first title defense against Guam's Kyle Aguon in the 135-pound division. Tanaka weighed in at 134-pounds, Kyle Aguon weighed in at 135-pounds. This fight will be a 5 round fight for the PXC Bantamweight Belt. This will be Kyle's first shot at a belt and says there's no way the belt will be leaving island.
