First lady named honorary chairperson of FESTPAC

Guam - First Lady Christine Calvo is named the honorary chairperson for the 12th Festival of the Pacific Arts (FESTPAC) coordinating committee.

Calvo is credited for taking part of one of Guam's first family singing ensembles of local Chamorro music along with her siblings.

FESTPAC, which is held every four years, is a regional cultural and traditional arts festival spawned by the Fiji Arts Council in 1965.

Guam is set to host FESTPAC in 2016.
