Guam - The holidays are fast approaching and already. Payless Supermarkets are getting into the spirit of giving. This morning at the Payless Supermarket at the Micronesia Mall, the 5th Annual Hunger Display was launched.
Payless Supermarkets executive vice-president Kathy Sgro said, "Every day we all know we have an opportunity to make a difference in our community and in the life of other people. And today, we are offering our customers to make a difference and help benefit these wonderful non-profit organizations."
With each purchase of Spam on display, payless along with Dickerson and Quinn will donate $1 to the Small Change, Big Difference Fund with benefits the Salvation Army, Kamalen Karidat, and Catholic Social Services. As each customer removes a can of spam, they will be able to see how their individual efforts are helping bring an end to hunger.
The campaign will last until the end of the year.
