Guam - With Typhoon Francisco lurking in the region, another public school in the northern end of the island has been designated as a shelter. Maria Ulloa Elementary School in Dededo was opened as a shelter to serve residents the most populous village reached capacity. Condition of Readiness 1 is anticipated at 1am Friday and heavy winds and rain are expected over the next 11 hours, although the storm is not expected to pass directly over Guam.
Other shelters being used are Machananao Elementary School (Dededo), FBLG Middle School (Yigo - FULL), Astumbo Elementary School (Dededo), George Washington High School (Mangilao), Talofofo Elementary School (Talofofo), Merizo Elementary School (Merizo), and Upi Elementary School (Yigo).
