Guam - In order to build momentum for the Democratic Party of Guam, a gathering is set for Saturday evening hosted by former governor Carl Gutierrez. It was earlier this week when Speaker Judi Won Pat told KUAM News that in order to draw support for the Democrats, the former governor had invited all party members and interested individuals to his residence in Agana Heights.
Gutierrez meanwhile tells KUAM News it's simply to get the party together. The Democrats at this point have not announced any official candidates for next year's gubernatorial race.
The Democratic Party of Guam election meanwhile is set for November 9. Nominations are still being accepted at Speaker Won Pat's office.
