Guam - Following a hot pursuit and a foot chase, police were able to apprehend the man they believe was involved in an assault and robbery that was reported on Tuesday evening in Umatac.  As we reported a tourist was sitting in a rental car in Agat when a man approached him asking for a ride.  When they neared Cetti Bay, the man had the tourist pull over and demanded money.

The suspect reportedly punched the tourist in the eye and then fled in the car when the victim got out of the vehicle.

Police located the vehicle this morning and a chase ensued down to Malesso near the school.  The suspect then fled on foot and was apprehended and taken to the Criminal Investigations Section for further questioning.
