Guam - Guam's number one industry continues to break records as the Guam Visitors Bureau reports August 2013 as the third best month in tourism history with over 134,000 visitors.

GVB general manager Karl Pangelinan says the momentum continues as March 2013 was reported the highest number of arrivals in Guam history to-date.

GVB reports that calendar-year-to date arrivals are up by 3.7%.  Japan arrivals have slowed down slightly by 2.3% but Korea arrivals are up nearly 40%, the People's Republic of China up by 20% and Russia visitors by 79%.

The governor attributes this banner year for the tourism industry to the hard working hotel workers, tour guides, and restaurant workers.
