Guam - Police are searching for two men who tried to break into an automated teller machine at the Guam Community College and tied up a security guard. Acting GPD spokesperson Sergeant Liz Flickinger says the incident occurred at 3:45 Saturday morning inside the Student Support Center two men wearing black ski masks broke into the ATM.

Apparently they encountered a security guard in the security office and told him to get on the floor and bound him with tie straps.

A student who was inside the Support Center was told to get on the ground; Flickinger says the student panicked and ran into a glass window and jumped out, cutting his knee.  He ran toward a nearby business to call police.  The suspects continued to damage the machine and were unable to access any cash inside.

There was no description of the suspects other than that they were wearing black long sleeve, black pants, and black ski masks and spoke with a Micronesian accent. Police are asking for the public's help. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 475-8616 or 477-HELP (4357).
