Guam - A Guam Memorial Hospital nursing supervisor confirms three people were taken to the Guam Memorial Hospital last night as a result of an explosion that occurred near the pool side area of Hilton Resort and Spa in Tumon. According to a nursing supervisor all three were treated and released. Last night emergency officials only reported two people were taken to GMH. According to hospital officials two men and one female were in fact treated there.

The cause of the blast is still under investigation. According to Governor Eddie Baza Calvo's Spokesperson Troy Torres the blast occurred just after at 8:30 Thursday night. Along with Guam Fire and Guam Police, the military's bomb squad as well as agents from the FBI and ATF were on scene. A sweep by canine units came up negative for bomb residue. Torres says however they are still treating it a crime scene until confirmation is made that the explosion was not intentional.

The blast occurred during a dinner show at the Tree Bar. The entire hotel was evacuated.

Hilton Resort and Spa General Manager Makoto "Earnie" Yasuhara said there was close to 300 hundred guests. They were shuttled to other hotels until but were allowed to return after the all the clear was given just after 12:30 Friday morning.
