Guam - With less than a year remaining until the 2014 primary election, the Guam Election Commission is taking the necessary steps in order purchase new tabulation machines.
GEC executive director Maria Pangelinan tells KUAM that staff are currently attending procurement classes in order to properly learn how to procure the equipment. She adds at the same time, the GEC is preparing to send out a request for interest and looking to publish notices for interested parties to provide the GEC with voter election and tabulation equipment and service. She says by this week, a notice should be placed on its website along with the Election Assistance Commission website and the National Association of State Election Directors.
