Man arrested for two armed robberies

by Mindy Aguon

Guam - A Dededo man is behind bars for allegedly robbing two mom and pop stores on Saturday night.  George Mafnas Reyes was arrested by police in Mangilao shortly after the second robbery.  GPD Spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says at 8:46 pm Saturday night a report was made that M Market in Anigua was robbed at gunpoint by a man wearing a long sleeve green hoodie sweater and green camoflauge pants.  The suspect pointed a firearm and said "Give me the money, give me all of it or I'll shoot." Police say the suspect then grabbed the cash and fled outside the front door.

Several hours later police received another report of an armed robbery this time at Boeing Mart in lower Barrigada Heights. The suspect fit the same description and fled after taking the money. Balajadia says a black revolver, green hoodie and money was confiscated and Reyes was arrested for 2 counts Robbery, 2 Counts Reckless Conduct, 2 counts Terrorizing, 2 counts Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission.
