by Jolene Toves

Guam - The Third Annual Guam International Film Festival is right around the corner and it's going to be bigger and better than ever before.

GIFF is scheduled for September 24-29 at the Agana Center Stadium Theatres.

The festival was actually extended from three days to six days and will showcase close to 50 films, including films from the 2013 Festival De Cannes and from the Japan Short Shorts Film Festival.

There were nearly 300 submissions from over 30 countries, which surpasses the submissions from GIFF 2012.

You can find out the latest on GIFF iff by going to their website at guamfilmfestival.org.  You can also download their app for iPhones and Android devices.  The app will allow you to keep track of the schedule and read summaries of the featured films as well as purchase tickets.
