Need health insurance?

by Krystal Paco

Guam - If you get intimidated at the thought of filling out an application for health insurance, there's help for you.

Dededo mayor Melissa Savares and board member of the Guam Community Health Centers says they've recently received a grant from health resources and services administration to hire three outreach workers to assist with helping residents garner health insurance. "Some people feel that the reason that they don't apply for these is because there's multiple forms that they need to fill out some of them don't understand it may be a language problem or barrier because the forms are not in their language or they're having a difficult time reading - they're illiterate," she said.

Savares says outreach workers will sit down with the applicant and page by page fill out all the necessary information.
