Guam - The Bureau of Statistics & Plans released the 2010 Census Guam detailed cross-tabulations. While it may appear to be just a bunch of numbers it actually contains valuable information about our island's population.

Senior planner Monica Guerrero said, "The census provides us with comprehensive view of our overall population and housing characteristics it provides us more specific information about the details of the population."

From education, to housing characteristics, and household income the information gathered is used by GovGuam agencies to assist the public in federal funding opportunities for services.  Guerrero says unlike a survey a census is only conducted once every ten years. Community planners, researchers and government leaders use the information to address programs and services that will benefit the community.
