If you're a veteran, be counted!

by Jolene Toves

Guam - West Care Pacific Islands is continuing to conduct its veterans outreach census.  Please mark your calendars. If you're a veteran and live in Inarajan you can participate in the census by going to your mayor's office on August 7th and 8th. if you live in the central part of Guam you can register at the Ordot Chalan Pago Mayors Office on August 12th and 13th and if you live in Merizo they will be signing up veterans at the mayor's office on august 14th and 15th. The census is critical as an estimated 12,000 residents are veterans with an additional 600 expected to return home in January 2014.

The growing population means a need for local outreach services, information, and referral services to  assist our veterans as many who face war and conflicts may experience trauma and need readjustment and transition services once they return home.

For more information on how to register, call your village mayor.
