Governor, GVB promoting Guam in Japan

Guam - Hoping to promote Guam and encourage tourists to vacation on island, Governor Eddie Calvo along with the Guam Visitors Bureau are in Japan this week. According to the Governor's Office, the delegation will be formalizing a friendship agreement with Karatsu City and commemorating the 15th anniversary of direct flight service from Niigata. Calvo will also be celebrating the 10th anniversary of sister city relations between Two Lovers Point of both Guam and Kashiwazaki City. He'll further meet with governors of saga and Niigata prefectures and the mayors of Karatsu and Kashiwazaki this week. Governor Calvo is expected to return this weekend.
