Calvo meets with Secretary of the Army

Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo met with Secretary of the Army John McHugh this morning. In a release from Adelup, the two discussed the buildup forces here on Guam as well as the army's increasing role in the Pacific Region. They also discussed the possibility of stationing the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense System or THAAD permanently on island. And just as the island's commemorated the 69th Liberation Day celebration, the Governor's Office notes Secretary McHugh personally recognized Guam's liberation from the Japanese occupation.
