Guam - Scheduled for later this week, the Guam Memorial Hospital Authority and Department of Education officials will present their Fiscal Year 2014 budget requests to lawmakers.
GMH administrator Joseph Verga says there may be changes to the $144 million request submitted in march as that request including necessary funding for hospital operations and debt.
With recently passed Bill 132 and the passing of controversial Bill 19, the hospital is receiving some financial relief but GMH has yet to calculate how much revenue the legislation will realize.
Meanwhile, DOE will present its $283.9 million request.
GMH is up first at 8am with DOE following at 9am both budget hearings will take place at the Legislature's Public Hearing Room this Friday.
