Pair of women obtain unregistered firearm

Guam - The Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division is investigating how a group of women got a hold of an unregistered firearm that was shot off in Inarajan over the weekend. 25 year old Kahealana Santos and 23- year old Ashley Balajadia - both from Yona - were arrested after a shooting incident that occurred Saturday night by Mae's Retail Store. The two along with another female were in a parked car by the merizo pier. Inside their vehicle police recovered a .38 caliber bullet and underneath a nearby car they recovered a Lorcin 380 semi-automatic pistol.  Santos and Balajadia were booked and confined. as for the third person, she was not charged.
