Guam - Representatives from the Department of Public Works are set to appear before lawmakers this Wednesday. Senator Michael San Nicolas called the oversight with the agency to get an update on school bus operations, procurement issues, as well as readiness for the upcoming school year.

DPW director Carl Dominguez is slated to also give updates on the addition of the Guahan Academy Charter School to the DPW bus schedule. As we reported last month, school officials have transmitted a listing of student villages but DPW has requested for more information, including bus stop locations and if each of the anticipated 500 students are in fact bus riders.

The oversight hearing is set for 6pm at the Legislature's Public Hearing Room.
