Suicide prevention outreach this weekend

Guam - The FSM church Leaders Association of Guam together with the Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center invites the public to a suicide prevention outreach this weekend.

GBHWC public information officer Sara Dimla tells KUAM the outreach is targeted to those 15 years of age and older. "For the past decade there's been a suicide death on our island every two weeks the highest rate happens amongst Chamorros and also Chuukese, that's why we put special focus on reaching out to our Chamorro and Chuukese brothers and sisters1737 and how they can prevent it within their families," she said.

The outreach is set for Saturday at the Sinajana Community Center from 1 to 4 p.m.
