FY2014 budget hearings next Friday

by Ken Quintanilla

Guam - Fiscal Year 2014 budget hearings will continue this week as the Committee on Appropriations will conduct public hearings on the Judiciary of Guam on Friday morning.  The courts have been operating with a bare-bones budget and less money for the current fiscal year. The reduction in the budget nearly led to furloughs but the governor released prior year allotments owed to the courts.  The Judiciary's hearing is scheduled for nine in the morning. The Public Defender Corporation is scheduled to appear for its budget hearing on Friday at eleven o'clock in the morning.
