Drug trafficking suspect seeks release from jail

Posted: Updated:

GUAM - Macrina Tedtaotao is asking once again to be released from federal custody.

Due to continued delays in the trial, which is now set for August, Tedtaotao is asking the court to be released and be placed on electronic monitoring if necessary, and released to third party custodians. The defense maintains there is no evidence to show that she has made any threats to co-defendant Bertha Moore, who recently turned herself in after hiding out in the Philippines. Moore, Tedtaotao and her husband, Eric, are all accused of smuggling in large quantities of crystal methamphetamine from the Philippines and distributing it on Guam.
