GUAM - Planning to head to the beach? It's a good idea to stay away from Turtle Cove. As we reported, a dead sperm whale is laying on the reef. NOAA officials are warning island residents to keep away from the carcass as it could pass along diseases. NOAA officials will be making periodic checks of the area. We should also note that initial estimates were that the whale was 35-feet long, according to fisheries biologist after further evaluation the whale is actually 50 feet long weighing about 40 tons.
