Congresswoman Bordallo urges the Navy to conclude the SEIS

GUAM - Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo says its imperative for the Navy to conclude the SEIS. She adds DOD has made a clear and convincing case for the necessity of the realignment which is why the House version of the Fiscal Year 2014 NDAA fully supports all elements of the realignment.

"I do take issue with how data was presented in the GAO report as it suggests that all the realignment moves are tied together which is dangerous to insinuate. Although the report criticizes technical elements of the Navy's planning process, we cannot lose focus on the broader strategic imperatives underpinning the realignment" Bordallo explained.

She adds Guam must continue its "One Guam" approach in support of the buildup.
