Guam - The Guam Memorial Hospital Volunteers Association presented GMH with a donation of medical supplies valued at $50,000. Hospital administrator Joseph Verga explained, saying, "You can't put a value on life support and life saving equipment this type of equipment is invaluable it saves lives every single day and it is such an essential and critical part of our operation."
Through various fundraising events the Hospital's Volunteer Association was able to purchase three sets of defibrulator machines and crash carts to benefit GMH patients.
Guam High School and surrounding homes at Naval Hospital have been evacuated after a bomb threat is called in Thursday afternoon. The threat specifically targeted the school. GPD and Navy police are sweeping the area with K-9 units. The Naval Base Guam Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit is standing by in the event anything is found. Guam Homeland Security officials say all measures are being taken to ensure the safety of the public and first responders involved.More >>
