Guam - The 94th Civilian Support Team held a press conference today discuss the upcoming Kontra I Piligru Exercise, a joint interagency effort to prepare local and federal agencies to respond to emergencies involving mass destruction.
The exercise will feature local first responders as well as representatives from the CNMI, and civilian support teams from Utah and Hawaii. The exercise will allow them to practice the skills needed during real world emergencies.
Scenarios will be played out across Guam, as 94TH CST commander Joseph Limtiaco said, "What the people can expect is a realistic exercise responders are going to respond role players as victims will be triaged, there's no exercise in this it is all going to be real play just expect that but just know that it is an exercise and that we are collaborating to resolve an issue."
Kontra I Piligru is schedule to begin on May 21. The exercise also culminates up to the certification of the 94th CST Team.
