Miss World Pageant scheduled for June

Guam - The journey to be crowned Miss World Guam 2013 has officially begun for 14 island beauties.   The Beauty World Guam Organization held a press conference at the Leo Palace Resort to introduce this year's contestants to the community.  The Miss World Pageant is the longest running pageant in the world and focuses on helping charitable causes.

Assistant pageant director Pinki Lujan said, "'Beauty with a purpose' has been a motto of the beauty World Guam Organization. It remains our commitment to the local charities on this beautiful island."

This marks the 62nd year the Miss World Pageant has been up and running. Current Miss World Guam Jeneva Bosko is preparing to turn over her title come pageant night in June. She said, "I'm really excited for all of you it's going to be a really whirlwind experience for everyone and even if you don't win or place I know that it will fulfill your heart that you've accomplish thus far."

The pageant will be held at the Leo Palace Resort on June 26.
